Center for Geopolitical Studies: ROK’s Indo-Pacific Strategy and Collaboration Plans Upload Date 2023-10-11 Hits 1653
On October 11, 2023, Center for Geopolitical Studies held a roundtable on the topic of “ROK’s Indo-Pacific Strategy and Collaboration Plans.”
 

Participants discussed how much Korea’s regional partners understand the Yoon government’s Indo-Pacific strategy, and IFANS experts shared the key elements and details of Seoul’s Indo-Pacific strategy with outside participants. Possible areas of cooperation and collaboration plans were also discussed at the meeting.

Professor CHOI Wongi gave this presentation to share his ideas, and participants engaged in discussions to exchange views on various topics.

The list of participants included: Professor CHOI Wongi (IFANS); Director-General KIM Jong Han (IFANS); Research Professor JEONG Sangmi (IFANS); Researchers OK Ji-su, Chang Hyoeun, LEE Hayoung, KIM Sukyum, and KIM Youngwuk (IFANS); Director for Policy Planning YOON Sang-uk (MOFA); Counsellor Ben Davey from the Embassy of Australia to Korea; Trade Commissioner Rouslan Kats at the Embassy of Canada to Korea; Political/Economic Affairs Officer Anna Song at the Embassy of Canada to Korea; Adrian Li, Deputy Chief of Mission and Counselor at Singapore Embassy in Seoul; Nora Hamdi, Political Secretary of the British Embassy Seoul; Officer Elena Kubitzki at the German Embassy Seoul; and Second Secretary Ekawut Weskosith at the Embassy of Thailand to Korea.
