Meeting with U.S. Congressional Staff Members Upload Date 2023-06-29 Hits 1886

On June 29, 2023, the Department of American Studies invited the aides of U.S. Congress members for a seminar. Director-General KIM Hyun-wook of the Department of American Studies and IFANS scholars gave their views on Korea’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, the U.S.-Korea alliance, and trade issues between Seoul and Washington and took questions from the participants.

 
 


From the IFANS/MOFA, Director-General KIM Hyun-wook, Associate Professor LEE Hyo Young, Research Professor CHOI Jinbaek, Researcher JEONG Hyeyoung, Researcher KIM Young Wuk, First Secretary GONG Soo Yun, and First Secretary SONG Ji Yeon participated.

Participants from the U.S. side included Legislative Aide Alex Moree, Deputy Chief of Staff/Legislative Director Connor Stubbs, Chief Of Staff Kayla Williams, Deputy Chief of Staff/Legislative Director Aledjandro Cisneros, Legislative Assistant Didier Barjon, Chief Of Staff Benjamin Cantrell, Legislative Assistant Matthew Mclaughlin, and Legislative Assistant Amelia Litynski.
