Seminar on ROK-US Summit: Outcomes on the Economic Front and Policy Implications  Upload Date 2021-06-09 Hits 1889
On June 9, 2021, Dept. of Economy, Trade and Development Studies of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) held a seminar to discuss the outcomes of the ROK-US summit on the economic front and assess the implications of the recent summit meeting for Korean policymakers. 
 


Noting that the two presidents agreed to increase resiliency in industrial supply chains and lead innovation in emerging technologies, participants explored ways to bolster bilateral, regional, and global economic cooperation in such areas and shared ideas on Korea’s foreign policy direction. 

The list of participants includes: SK innovation Executive Vice President KIM Yoosuk; Director-General for bilateral economic affairs LEE Mi-yeon (MOFA); LEE Seung-Woo, Analyst at Eugene Investment & Securities; Professor LEE Jong-koo of Seoul National University College of Medicine; IFANS President OH Youngju; Director-General KIM Yang-hee of Dept. of Economy, Trade and Development Studies; and other IFANS experts.
