Follow-up Meeting on the Independent Panel on the MOFA’s Diplomacy with the United Nations Upload Date 2021-09-24 Hits 425
On September 24, 2021, the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) held a meeting on the Independent panel launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of Korea on the Ministry’s diplomacy with the United Nations. 
 

The meeting was arranged to shed light on how the recommendations included in the report submitted by the Independent Panel has been translated into concrete actions over the past three years, and to present a new vision for Korea to navigate the ever-evolving global political landscape. Participants shared valuable perspectives on ways to contribute to the Ministry’s efforts at establishing more effective strategies on its diplomacy with the United Nations. 
 

The list of participants included: President KIM Eun Mee of Ewha Womans University; Professor SEO Chang Rok at Korea University; Former South Korean Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) OH Joon; Former ambassador to the South Korean Permanent Mission in Geneva CHOI Seok-young; Deputy Director-General PARK Jang Ho of International Organizations Bureau (MOFA); IFANS President OH Youngju; Professor PARK Yong-min (IFANS); Associate Professor NAM Seung Hyun (IFANS); Assistant Professor SONG Ji Sun (IFANS); and Researcher LEE Hyun Ju.
