International Law 3rd Follow-up Meeting on the Independent Panel on the ROK’s Diplomacy toward the UN Upload Date 2021-12-09 Hits 1144
On December 9, 2021, Center for International Law of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) held the third follow-up meeting on the independent panel on the Republic of Korea’s diplomacy toward the UN.
 

At the meeting, participants shared an overview of global political, strategic changes rapidly reshaping the diplomatic landscape over the past years since ‘Korean Diplomacy toward the United Nations: Visions and Future Strategies’ was published in 2018, and explored ways to steer Korean diplomacy toward the UN in the coming years. 

President KIM Eun Mee of Ewha Womans University; Professor SOH Chang-rok at Korea University; Professor OH Joon at Kyung Hee University, former Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations; CHOI Seok-young, former Permanent Representative of the Republic of Korea to the UN at Geneva; Deputy Director-General PARK Jang Ho of International Organizations Bureau (MOFA); IFANS President OH Youngju; Professor PARK Yong min (KNDA); Associate Professor NAM Seung hyun, Head of Center for International Law (IFANS); Assistant Professor SONG Jisun (IFANS); and Researcher LEE Hyunju.
