On July 5, 2022, Center for ASEAN-Indian Studies of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) organized a meeting to interact with experts from the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA). At the meeting, participants exchanged views about the Korean government's impending Indo-Pacific strategy and regional policies toward the Indo-Pacific region, maritime security issues in the Indo-Pacific, and ways to enhance cooperation with European countries including Germany on the regional affairs in the Indo-Pacific.
The list of participants from the IFANS included: CHOE Wongi, Professor and Head of Center for ASEAN-Indian Studies; Associate Professor JUN Hae-won; Research Professor CHO Won Deuk; Researchers LEE Sang Hoon and LEE Ha Young. From the GIGA side, Vice President Professor Patrick Koellner and Dr. Christian Wirth participated in the meeting.
