Center for Japanese Studies Hosted the 13th Japan-East Asia Forum Upload Date 2022-08-10 Hits 776
On August 10, 2022, Center for Japanese Studies of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KDNA) hosted the 13th Japan-East Asia Forum on the topic of “Korea-Japan Relations in the wake of Japan’s Upper House Election.” The Forum was arranged to discuss the latest developments in bilateral relations under the new South Korean government led by President Yoon Suk Yeol and forecast the relationship between Korea and Japan in the years ahead.
 


Professor Kan Kimura at Kobe University delivered his presentation, and Counsel KIM Won-jin for Japanese Studies, Professor SON Ki-seon at Busan University of Foreign Studies, and Professor CHOI Hee Sik at Kookmin University participated as panelists to share their viewpoints.
 
 

Aside from the panelists, outside experts including Professor KIM Beom soo at Konkuk University, Professor KIM Hyun-Chul Seoul National University, Director SHIM Kyu Sun of Donga Ilbo, and Professor LEE Won-Deog at Kookmin University participated in the meeting. From the IFANS side, Professor JO Yanghyeon, Professor KIM Chang-sik, Professor PARK Yong min, and Research Professor YOON Sukjung were present.
