Defense and Unification 2nd Round of Northeast Asia Peace Cooperation Seminar Series: Assessing Multilateral Security Cooperation in Northeast Asia and Challenges Ahead Upload Date 2021-03-30 Hits 1560
On March 30, 2021, the Department of National Security and Unification Studies, together with Dept. of Asian and Pacific Studies and Center for Foreign Policy Strategy, arranged the 2nd round of the Northeast Asia Peace Cooperation Series on the topic of “Assessing Multilateral Security Cooperation in Northeast Asia and Challenges Ahead” 
 

The closed-door meeting was attended by many academic experts who gathered to share their views on a wide range of issues including: recent trends in research on multilateral security cooperation in Northeast Asia and research outcomes; the role of the government and academia in carrying forward and broadening the scope of research efforts; and ways to transform the Northeast Asia Peace Cooperation Forum into a well-functioning platform for meaningful discussions. 

The list of participants includes: KNDA Chancellor KIM Joon Hyung; Professor JUN Bong-Geun (IFANS); Director-General KIM Young moo; Director SEO Eun-young for Asian and Pacific Regional Cooperation Division (MOFA); Director LEE Daewoo of the Department of Diplomatic Strategy Studies at the Sejong Institute; Director LEE Kitae of Peace Research Division at the Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU); Senior Research Fellow LEE Snag Hyun at the Sejong Institute; Director SHIN Beom-chul of the Center for Diplomacy and Security at the Korea Research Institute for National Strategy and many other eminent experts.
