Middle East and Africa Seminar on South Korea's Bid for Non-permanent Seat at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Upload Date 2021-07-01 Hits 1461
On July 1, 2021, Department of African and Middle Eastern Studies of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy invited outside experts to hold a seminar on the topic of "The Responsibility to Protect (R2P): Theory and Practice." 

The meeting was arranged to share perspectives on how discussions on R2P have developed over the years; the key elements of R2P and best-practice examples; and the implications of R2P for Korea's diplomatic path forward.
