Asia-Pacific A KNDA Talk with Dr. NGUYEN Vu Tung, Ambassador of Vietnam to the ROK Upload Date 2021-07-08 Hits 1266
On July 8, 2021, Center for ASEAN-Indian Studies of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) invited Dr. NGUYEN Vu Tung, Ambassador of Vietnam to the Republic of Korea, for a talk under the title of “30 Years of Vietnam-ROK Relations: Looking Back, Looking Forward.” The event was especially organized in anticipation of the 30th anniversary of ROK-Vietnam diplomatic relations in 2022.


After Ambassador OH Youngju, President of the IFANS at KNDA, gave a welcoming remarks, Ambassador NGUYEN Vu Tung delivered a keynote speech and shared his views on the last three decades of ROK-Vietnam relations and the future prospects in the coming years. After the keynote presentation, there was a Q/A session with designated discussants, and then, with the audience from the floor. 

 


Moderated by Ambassador HAN Dong-man, Advisor to Center for ASEAN-Indian Studies (IFANS), Professor CHOE Wongi, Head of Center for ASEAN-Indian Studies (IFANS/KNDA), Professor CHAE Suhong of Southeast Asian Center at Seoul National University (SNU), and Mr. KIM Bong-Man, Head of International Affairs Department at the Federations of Korean Industries (FKI) led a Q&A session on how to deepen the two countries’ relations in socio-cultural, economic and trade, as well as diplomatic and security dimensions.
