A delegation from the Center for ASEAN-Indian Studies of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) visited Hanoi, Phnom Penh, and Singapore to interact with experts at local research institutes from June 5 to 12, 2022. The Center for ASEAN-Indian Studies of KNDA also participated in the IISS Asia Security Summit (Shangri-La Dialogue) in Singapore, June 10-12.In Vietnam, the IFANS delegation kicked off its trip meeting with the Korea-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Association, and shared perspectives on regional issues and areas of mutual interest with experts at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), and Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA). The delegation also met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Quang Hieu of Vietnam, and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, commemorating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Vietnam. 
During their visit to Cambodia, the IFANS delegation interacted with experts from the Cambodia Institute for Cooperation and Peace (CICP), the International Relations Institute of the Royal Academy of International Relations (IRIC), and the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR) on various pending regional issues and areas of common interest. The delegation also met with H.E. Ung Rachana, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, and exchanged views on Cambodia’s tasks ahead and issues at hand as it assumed the chairmanship of ASEAN for 2022. 
In Singapore, the delegation participated in roundtables with experts from the ISEAS-Yus of Ishak Institute, RSIS of the Nanyang University of Technology, and the Korea Centre of the East Asian Institute of the National University of Singapore. Following the roundtables, IFANS experts attended the Shangri-La Dialogue held from June 10 to 12, and met with experts from the United States, Singapore, and Malaysia on the sidelines.
The IFANS delegation consists of Professor CHOE Wongi, Head of Center for ASEAN-Indian Studies; Ambassador LEE Hyuk, former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam and the Philippines; Ambassador HAN Dong-man, Senior Advisor at the Center for ASEAN-Indian Studies and former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Philippines; Research Professor CHO Wondeuk, and Researcher Lee Sang-hoon.
