On August 24, 2023, the Department of National Security and Unification Studies held a seminar with U.S. diplomats from the Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Seoul on “Korea-U.S. Joint Response to Disinformation.”
Participants discussed the latest developments in the global dissemination of information and how the U.S. and the ROK could advance cooperation to combat disinformation in the coming years.
The list of U.S. participants included Robert Post, Public Affairs Counselor for the U.S. Mission to the Republic of Korea; Spokesperson J.B. Leedy for the U.S. Mission to the Republic of Korea; and Pope Thrower, Public Diplomacy Coordinator for the U.S. Mission to the Republic of Korea.
