On September 3, 2025, a delegation from the Committee on National Security of Japan's Kansai Association of Corporate Executives made an official visit to South Korea, partaking in a conference convened by the Center for Japanese Studies at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) with the presence of resident experts.
The conference featured discussions as well as a Q&A session centered on the topics of ▲ the current status and prospects of the ROK-U.S.-Japan relations, ▲ economic and trade policy under the Trump administration, and ▲ South Korea's new government's foreign policy.
Among the 15 total attendees at the conference, participants from the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) were Center Director JO Yanghyeon (Center for Japanese Studies, IFANS/KNDA), Senior Advisor CHO Tai-young (Center for Japanese Studies, IFANS/KNDA), Professors MIN Jeonghun (Dept. of North American and European Studies, IFANS/KNDA), KIM Han-kwon, OH Seunghee, and YOON Sukjung (Dept. of Indo-Pacific Studies, IFANS/KNDA), alongside English Editor JANG Yujung (IFANS/KNDA), and Researchers PARK Myunga, KIM Mi Jung, and CHO Ah Ra (IFANS/KNDA).
Present from outside of the KNDA were Mr. SUGINO Toshiyuki (President & CEO, Sanki Holdings Co., Ltd.), Ms. FUJIOKA Yuka (President & CEO, Fujioka Kinzoku Corp.), and Mr. NAGAI Seiji (Executive Vice President, Obayashi Corporation), among others.
