Diplomacy Second Colloquium with Historians on China’s National Identity  Upload Date 2021-05-27 Hits 1730
On May 27, 2021, Center for Diplomatic History Studies and Center for Chinese Studies of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy hosted the second round of the colloquium series on the topic of “China’s National Identity: Conversation with Historians.” Professor KIM Seung-wook of Chungbuk National University was invited to give a presentation on the territories of Chinese dynasties and Chinese nationalism, and partipants shared different perspectives and ideas on this topic.  
 


Center for Diplomatic History Studies and Center for Chinese Studies have invited historians well-versed in Chinese history and history of the Korea-China relationship to host the colloquium series. Experts have shed light on the rationale behind China’s foreign policy, Beijing’s long-term goals and the root causes of nationalist conflicts driving a wedge between Korea and China. 

The list of participants includes: Professor KIM Seung-wook of Chungbuk National University; Professor LEE Dong-ryul of Dongduk Women’s University; Professor LEE Wang Hwi of Ajou University; IFANS President OH Youngju; Advisor JEON Jaeman to Center for Chinese Studies (IFANS); Director-General KIM Young moo (IFANS); Director-General CHOI Wooseon (IFANS); Professor KIM Taehwan of (IFANS); Assistant Professor KIM Jong Hak; Research Professor LEE Sangsook; Research Professor CHOI Jin Baek and other IFANS experts.
