Meeting with a Delegation from the Kansai Association of Corporate Executives

On August 30, 2022, a delegation from the Kansai Association of Corporate Executives in Japan visited the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) to hold a seminar (closed) with IFANS experts.
The arrangement of the meeting was part of the IFANS’ public diplomacy effort, as IFANS faculty members sought to closely interact with Japan’s prominent corporate executives and share insights. Participants discussed various issues including the direction of Korea’s foreign policy under the new Korean government, Korea’s relationship with neighboring countries and how it affects Seoul’s security strategy, and ways to improve Korea-Japan relations in the years ahead.
IFANS Participants included: President LEE Choongmyon; Professor JO Yanghyeon; Associate Professor KIM Han-kwon; Assistant Professor LEE Tae Rim; Research Professor JEONG Sangmi; Research Professor YOON Sukjung; and Researchers CHO Ahra and KIM Mi Jung. The Kansai Association of Corporate Executives delegation included the Head of delegation Toshiyuki Sugino, Acting Head Yuka Fujioka, Counsel Kyoco Ikoma, Counsel Keiji Kakumoto and other corporate executive from Japan.
