Roundtable on Prime Minister Kishida’s Visit to Korea and Korea-Japan Relations Upload Date 2023-05-09 Hits 181
On May 9, 2023, the Center for Japanese Studies of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) held a roundtable on the topic of “Japanese Prime Minister Kishida’s Visit to Korea and Korea-Japan Relations.”

 
 

 
The meeting was arranged to assess the results of Prime Minister Kishida’s visit to Korea and the ROK-Japan summit and forecast Korea-Japan relations in the coming years.
 
 

KNDA Chancellor PARK Cheol-hee delivered opening remarks, and participants assessed the ROK-Japan summit in May, discussed the meaning of Korea’s participation in the G7 summit, and explored ways to advance the U.S.-Korea-Japan cooperation.

The list of participants includes: Professor JO Yanghyeon (moderator); H.E. SHIN Kak-Soo, former ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Japan; Dr. JIN Chang Soo, Director of the Center for Japanese Studies at the Sejong Institute; Dr. CHA Du Hyeogn, Principal Fellow, Supervisor, Research and Planning, Center Chief of Center for Foreign Policy and National Security at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies
