On October 10, 2023, the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) invited young leaders of the European Union for a meeting with IFANS experts. Our experts briefed the participants on the KNDA’s two main missions – education and research – and shared their views on foreign policy issues such as the ROK’s Indo-Pacific strategy and the North Korean nuclear problem.
The list of participants included: Assistant Professor LEE Tae Rim (IFANS); Assistant Professor CHO Won Deuk (IFANS); Senior Researcher KIM Jayong (IFANS); Roland Honekamp, Deputy Head of Division European Union at European External Action Service; Elena Lazarou, Acting Head of the External Policies Unit of the European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS); Tena Vukelic, Policy Officer at European Economic and Social Committee; Hugo Sharp, Policy Officer at the European Commission; Professor Pacheco Pardo at Vrije Universiteit Brussel; Paula Cantero Dieguez, Researcher/Administrator at Vrije Universiteit Brussel; and Second Secretary CHOI Sujin at the Mission of the Republic of Korea to the EU and the NATO & Embassy to the Kingdom of Belgium.
