16th Korea-Japan-China Trilateral Cooperation Forum Upload Date 2023-12-06 Hits 897
On December 6, 2023, the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA), the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA), and the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) co-hosted the 16th Korea-Japan-China Trilateral Cooperation Forum.
 
 

The Korea-Japan-China Trilateral Cooperation Forum has been an annual conference jointly organized by the IFANS, JIIA, and CIIS since 2008, and the IFANS was in charge of arranging this year’s forum held in a virtual format.
 

During the closed-door meeting, participants had in-depth discussions on various topics such as assessment and outlook of global and regional security situations, prospects for regional economic cooperation, and how to craft and implement strategies to advance trilateral cooperation in the region.

IFANS, JIIA, and CIIS experts including Senior Executive Director LEE Moon Hee of the IFANS, Director-General CHOI Wooseon of the Department of the International Security and Unification Studies (IFANS/KNDA), Professor JO Yanghyeon (IFANS/KNDA), Director-General Tomoyuki Yoshida (JIIA), Research Fellow Tomoki Iimura (JIIA), CIIS President Chen Bo, Vice President Liu Qing (CIIS), Associate Research Fellow Sha Yuan (CIIS) of the Department for Asia-Pacific Studies (CIIS), Associate Research Fellow Min Li of the Department for Asia-Pacific Studies (CIIS), and Associate Research Fellow Zhipeng Bao (CIIS) participate in this year’s forum.
