Defense and Unification Seminar on “Assessment and Implications of the Russia-North Korea Summit” Upload Date 2024-06-24 Hits 1941
On June 24, 2024, the Center for Geopolitical Studies of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) had a seminar on “Assessment and Implications of the Russia-North Korea Summit.”



The seminar discussed the recent visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Pyongyang, where he held a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. As the Russia-North Korea relationship has been elevated to a “comprehensive strategic partnership,” the seminar explored the significance of this cooperation, its impact on the global regional order and the Korean Peninsula, and South Korea's policy responses.
