Center for ASEAN-India Studies Hosts 1st Indo-Pacific Maritime Security Cooperation Seminar of 2025 Upload Date 2025-02-05 Hits 335
The Center for ASEAN-India Studies at the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) hosted a closed-door expert seminar on February 4, 2025, under the theme “ROK-U.S. MRO Cooperation and Its Strategic Implications.”
 

The seminar brought together experts in diplomacy, security, and the defense industry, as well as representatives from business, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense, the Navy, and the Korea Coast Guard. During the event, participants recognized the significance of ROK-U.S. cooperation in terms of MRO following the inauguration of the Trump administration and discussed the strategic implications of such cooperation in relation to South Korea’s Indo-Pacific Strategy.
