The Seoul Academy of International Law (SAIL) is a training program launched by the Center for International Law (CIL) at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. 

SAIL provides courses lectured by prominent scholars and practitioners in the field of international law to the participants from Asia and the Pacific region. About 40 participants in the program come from various countries in Asia and the Pacific, and range widely from government officials, including diplomats and legal practitioners, to scholars, researchers as well as graduate students.

2023 SAIL was held from July 3 to July 14 in Seoul, Republic of Korea.


• Countries of 31 participants in 2023 SAIL:  Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Fiji, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Türkiye, Vietnam and Republic of Korea.

• Courses of 2023 SAIL:  East Asia and International Law, Global Governance and International Law, Human rights and International Criminal Law, International Dispute Settlement, International Economic Law, Internatinonal Environmental Law, International Investment Law, Law of the Sea, Recent Trends of the Law on State Responsibility, UN and International Law.
