IFANS Conference on Global Affairs
Since 2010, the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) has annually held the IFANS Conference on Global Affairs on various foreign affairs and national security agendas to set the direction of the Republic of Korea’s foreign policy and explore ways to expand the ROK’s contribution to mutual growth and prosperity of the international community with eminent experts and scholars from home and abroad.
This year’s conference was arranged under the theme of “Breaking the Nuclear Impasse: the North Korean Nuclear Issue and Peace on the Korean Peninsula” in a two-day webinar format from July 28 to 29.
Foreign Minister CHUNG Eui-yong of the Republic of Korea delivered a keynote speech, and domestic and foreign experts participated in Session 1 (Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and Peace in Asia), and Session 2 (2021 and Exploring the Road Ahead), sharing their insights and generating practical ideas to break the North Korean nuclear impasse.
